Chef’s Table Inspired by an “old world” approach to eating, Backyard Farm Chef’s table can host up to 20 guests.  Menus are developed and enhanced by Chef Chris Van Hooydonk’s extensive culinary industry experience. Chef’s food philosophy encompasses the approachable side to healthy eating and farming, with emphasis put on sourcing the freshest and organic when possible, highest quality, seasonal and sustainable ingredients. Importance is put upon supporting the local, dedicated farmer’s and producers in the area which share his passion for food. All meats are ethically and sustainably raised non-medicated and without hormones and antibiotics. Seafood is sourced taking care to ensure they are Oceanwise certified.

Terrafina’s 47 seat restaurant provides an intimate setting with the old brick features, existing wooden pillars and iron chandelier inside. With an additional 24 seats on our patio that is surrounded by gardens and covered with lush vines, it not only captures the recognizable character of Hester Creek Estate Winery but a setting much like you would find in a villa overlooking the hills in Tuscany.

Meaning ‘from the earth’, our friendly Tuscan inspired menu will have you arriving as guests, but leaving as friends. Comfortable Old World charm with an injection of New World approach inspires everything from Terrafina’s décor to the way we prepare our pizza dough and present our traditional Antipasto platter. Whether on a wine tour with a group or an intimate dining experience Terrafina at Hester Creek Estate Winery will lay the setting in true Tuscan style.

Open from March thru December we pride ourselves on capturing the true essence of the Okanagan’s seasons. From the abundance of the local fruit and produce to the extensive varietals of the local vineyards we aim to bring the best of the seasons to the table throughout your dining experience.

Brothers Don and Michael have focussed their careers into this exacting idea which is Bartier Bros. wine. These wines represent unique and precious Okanagan Valley attributes; purity, freshness, vibrancy, and above all, intensity.

Inspired by the award winning Okanagan winemaker Michael Bartier, Bartier Bros. Wines are an earnest expression of the Okanagan Valley’s geography, history and people. The Valley’s ethos dictates a proud resilience optimism and self-reliance where the hallmark qualities of hard work and contentment reign.

Inspiration is always useful, and the valley has it in spades, but it is the fundamental work ethic that has always fulfilled this inspiration. So it should come as no great surprise to learn it is the indefatigable dedication to the work itself that drives the Bartier Bros’ farming and winegrowing philosophy.
